Does Your Cup Runneth Over With Coffee?

1

Here’s an oft-asked question, this time from one of our Facebook Fans, author David Mitchell:

David Mitchell Stephan ~ By volume, how many ounces are there in a cup of coffee? Is there a standard size for a cup?

Big City Coffee Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, 6oz was standard…now, it’s more like 4.5-5 oz per “cup”. Beware the markings on various makers’ pots and reservoirs…I love my “8 cup” Rhone French Press, but darned if I can see how they are anything other than demitasse…your results may vary, adjust accordingly…(you must have noticed we don’t include directions with our coffee!)

Snortable Coffee From the Same Folks That Gave Us LSD

Tim Leary and Richard Alpert’s former employer, Harvard University, moves from psychedelics to caffeine.

Through a process called particle engineering, Harvard professor David Edwards and a student team have developed a new way for coffee drinkers to get their fix: inhalation.

Yes! Coffee you just inhale.

According to Edward’s company, Le Whif, the breathable coffee powder delivers the jolt of caffeine without the cup.

And – you’ll love this – Le Whif also makes inhalable chocolates….perfect accompaniment to a line of caffeine.

Thanks to Earth911 for alerting me to this green initiative (no cup waste!)
